New website for BBC Radio 1

BBC Radio 1 has launched new website graphics this week following a year of planning by independent company Studio Output.

The new site was built by Collective and includes new logos and images for each programme and its presenter or presenters.

Studio Output told us: "The work started with the design of new logos for every show; as with the photography, we combined consistency with individuality, creating a set of different logos all based around the BBC Radio typeface, Century Gothic. The Vernan Kay logo, for example, has punches through the text to simulate dressing mirror lights, while Judge Jules has lazer like beams emanating from his."
