GMG's Real Radio in the North East is continuing its support of the X-Factor winner Joe McElderry by welcoming him back home.
The station pursuaded 75 people to change their name by deed poll to Vote Joe, and enjoyed national coverage on the X-Factor final last weekend.
Real Radio's breakfast presenter Kelly Scott has supported Joe from day one of his X Factor Campaign, right through to the winning weekend and beyond. Now the station is hoping his single will be number one for Christmas.
Speaking before the X-Factor Final, Kelly said: "I’m not just supporting Joe because he’s from the North East, it’s because I think he is genuinely the most talented person in the competition. Whatever you do, whether you think I’m mad or not, it doesn’t matter… just Vote Joe."
