Breakfast presenter Adil Ray is leaving BBC Asian Network and will be replaced by drive-time’s Tommy Sandhu.
Adil has been part of the station for 9 years, his final show will be on the 4th of June as he concentrates on other projects such as acting and writing.
Speaking about the departure, Adil said: "I feel now the time is right to take on these challenges and hope to be working across a number of BBC platforms and beyond".
Asian Network’s controller, Andy Parfitt, said: "I'm delighted that Tommy has agreed to host the breakfast show. … He is a talented broadcaster and will bring energy to the show. This gives us a very strong daytime line-up to take us forward.”
Andy added: "Adil has made a huge contribution to the station and we'd like to thank him for that and wish him every success for the future."
Noreen Khan will take over Tommy Sandhu’s drivetime slot.
