Alan Carr's co-host Emma Forbes has quit the station, just a month after her contract expired.
Emma has been presenting Going Out With Alan Carr on Saturday evenings from 6pm till 8pm since last year.
This weekend, Melanie Sykes [link=http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00k2lq6]takes[/link] Emma's place after it was thought Emma was due to take a holiday but decided not to go after Melanie was already booked.
Emma's contract expired in March and she had not yet entered into a new agreement.
This lead to a disagreement with BBC executives, the Guardian [link=http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2010/apr/30/emma-forbes-quits-radio-2]reports[/link].
A Radio 2 spokeswoman told the newspaper: "'Emma Forbes has resigned as the co-host of Radio 2's Going Out with Alan Carr. We wish Emma the best of luck for the future."
