KISS gets new Hed Kandi show

KISS has teamed up with stylish music brand Hed Kandi for a new Saturday slot in the KISS schedule.

Starting this weekend, KISS Presents the Hed Kandi Mix will broadcast across the KISS network between 11pm and midnight, with an hour of mixed house music.

The show will also be available to listen to again on the KISS Kube, which is available on iPhone and at totalkiss.com.

Andy Roberts, KISS Group Programme Director said: "Hed Kandi is a great music experience and it just felt right that we work together to create an exciting new show on KISS that really captures the sound of the weekend.”

Miles Nation, Hed Kandi Events Manager said, "We are very excited about this fabulous and exciting new partnership and look forward to bringing the sound of our international dancefloor to KISS listeners every Saturday night!”

Hed Kandi has a long history of links with radio, starting life in 1999 as one of JAZZ FM's record labels, with a regular weekend show on their stations in London and Manchester. The show was also taken up by the Galaxy Network, who dropped it last year as part of their weekend re-shuffle.

GMG Radio sold the brand to Ministry of Sound in January 2006 for an undisclosed sum.
