Justin Kings is to develop journalists and a fresh news sound for Bauer's NE stations.
Starting in July and based in Newcastle, Justin's new role means he will work with the news teams at Metro Radio and TFM Radio in the North East, as well as CFM Radio in Cumbria.
Metro Radio Programme Director, Chris Pegg, has also asked Justin to come up with an exciting new sound for news content on the stations, using experience from Capital and his North East based company, Newsleader Media Consultancy.
Justin said: "As one of the UK's iconic, heritage radio stations I'm very excited to be joining Metro Radio. I'm aiming to work with the existing talent in the news room to create a news service which will sound like no other on the radio. During the summer I'll also be on the lookout for a number of hot new journalists to complete our team."
