Steve Power rides for charity

Wave 105's Steve Power is taking part in the London to Brighton bike ride again this year.

Once again he'll be raising money for the station charity Cash for Kids, has enlisted the help of colleague Simon Clarke to support him with his challenge.

The mammoth 54 mile bike ride on June 20th begins at Clapham Common and ends on Brighton Seafront. The ride is the UK’s largest charity bike ride with 27,000 riders taking part every year.

Steve Power said: “I took part in the 2009 cycle ride and I managed to complete it just after lunchtime. When I reached the finish line it seemed like a good idea to commit to taking part in this year’s race – I think it was the adrenalin pumping at the time! Joking aside, I’m looking forward to taking part again. It’s very challenging but also very rewarding to know I’ll be doing it for a good cause and of course I’ll have some support from Simon too.”
