Documentary series International Radio 1 returns to the station for the third time this autumn with five new 60-minute programmes which follow BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 1Xtra DJs as they travel the world as international DJs.
This time they'll be going to Sri Lanka, Warsaw, Ghana, Jamaica and Croatia.
The chosen DJs – Nihal, Rob da Bank, Robbo Ranx, Ras Kwame and Jaymo and Andy George will be exploring and getting to grips with the musical and social surroundings they're playing in.
Radio 1 executive producer Joe Harland says: "Over the past three years International Radio 1 has taken listeners on a remarkable musical journey. For the new season, I'm delighted that we're travelling wider than ever before – be that visiting the emerging clubbing hotspot of Croatia, or Nihal taking us to his beloved Sri Lanka, providing a unique insight into the new music emerging in studios and bedrooms across the planet."
