New studios for Morecambe Bay

Morecambe Bay's hospital radio service Bay Trust Radio has completed a studio and office refurbishment costing £70,000.

The station, which serves three local hospitals across Morecambe Bay has spent the last six years transforming facilities.

Station bosses say the radio station now boasts the most up to date facilities that can be found in the country and most commercial radio stations would envy.

Myriad, the software that the station uses for on-air play-out and automation, has played a big part of the refurbishment, supplied by P Squared based in Hull.

John Williamson Station Manager said: "It had taken a long time and large investment of money but the effort that has been put in by the volunteers of the station has been tremendous and we are very proud what has been achieved."
