We've been keeping an eye on this all week, wondering if it should make headlines on RadioToday.co.uk – but the absence of Chris Moyles from the Radio 1 breakfast show took another twist yesterday as Sara Cox was brought in to cover for one day only.
Sara, once the full-time host of the breakfast show, will join the regular team on Thursday morning from 6:30am till 10am. On Friday, she'll be covering Fearne Cotton's show whilst the Moyles team go it alone without a main host.
News of Chris missing his first show (due to illness) was announced on [link=http://twitter.com/ahj/status/22547186905]Twitter[/link] by show producer Aled Jones, when Vernon Kay stepped in to cover Tuesday and Wednesday.
Sara Cox was the regular host of the Radio 1 breakfast show from March 2000 to December 2003, with Chris Moyles taking over a few weeks later.
