Radio people from around the UK are heading to Salford Quays for the annual Radio Festival, which officially launches at 7pm Monday. This year the main event is hosted by 5 Live presenter Richard Bacon.
The re-shaped event is now the home of the Radio Fair, Hall of Fame Dinner and Move On Up, plus Tech Con and Foot in the Door which is taking place today.
This year the festival also features its own "pop up" radio station on DAB multiplexes around the country, plus an app for Android and iPhone.
The Android app is now available in the Android Market, whilst the iPhone app is still awaiting approval by Apple but is hoped to be realeased in time for the official launch on Monday evening. It has been made by Unique Interactive.
