Lady Gaga gets radio award

The artist we have played the most on our radio stations in the last 12 months is Lady Gaga, as worked out by Nielsen Music, the measurement reference of the music industry.

The special award was made at the PRS for Music Hall of Fame Dinner this evening in Manchester, as part of the Radio Festival.

And before you ask – no – Lady Gaga wasn't available in person to pick up her prize.

Helena Kosinski, International Marketing Manager of Nielsen Music picked up the gong on her behalf and said: “Lady Gaga has had phenomenal success during 2010, ratcheting up an enormous number of radio plays in the last year. With over 275,000 radio plays, Lady Gaga was clearly the front runner for this Award.”

The award last year went to Take That.
