Hospital Radio Awards open

Entries have opened for next year's National Hospital Radio Awards with ten awards up for grabs, including Station of the Year.

The ceremony will be held in Maidstone in March 2011 as part of Hospital Broadcasting Week and the HBA's annual conference.

Lincs FM's Director of Programming Sean Dunderdale is again co-producing the awards, along with his Scunthorpe Hospital Radio collegue Iain Lee – who's also Deputy Chief Executive of the Hospital Broadcasting Association.

Sean told RadioToday.co.uk: "We're hoping for record numbers of entries for the 2011 awards, as next year marks the 85th anniversary of Hospital Radio in the UK. We want the awards and Hospital Broadcasting Week to be a true celebration of the past 85 years and the work of hundreds of volunteers in hospitals right across the UK."
