Commerical radio news teams have a month to submit entries for next year's IRN Awards.
The closing date is 9th December with five categories available for journalists and editors to put their teams forward for.
The awards are a celebration of the people and teams involved in the creation and broadcast of first class news and sport across the commercial radio network during 2010. The winners will be announced at a daytime awards ceremony on 7th March 2011 at a London venue to be announced.
The categories available to enter are:

Best Original News Story
Reporter of the Year
Newsreader of the Year
Best Newsteam/ Newsroom[/b]
The judges will also present an IRN Gold Award to an individual, news team, station or group judged to be worthy of recognition for an outstanding contribution to news and/or sport in UK commercial radio. This category cannot be entered, but suggestions for recipients can be put forward.
