SIRIUS move for Moyles?

BBC Radio 1 breakfast presenter Chris Moyles is back in the spotlight again over his contract renewal.

This time the News of the World reports he's in talks with American Satellite Radio operator SIRIUS XM about a multi-million-pound move to New York once his contract ends in July.

Moyles [link=http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/notw/public/nol_public_showbiz/1154552/Chris-Moyles-to-leave-BBC-and-work-in-the-Big-Apple.html]apparently[/link] went to New York last month for "top- secret talks", and both parties are thought to be interested.

On Twitter, he replied to News of the World showbiz editor Dan Wootton [link=http://twitter.com/CHRISDJMOYLES/status/6083513501618177]saying[/link]: "oh right, sounds interesting… Can't wait to find out what I'm doing next!" after Dan announced details of the move.

The news has received mixed reaction, with replies to Chris such as "As if Sirius would want you. Only the BBC would be stupid enough to believe this scam. And they don't want you either" and "Get to Sirius now Chris it'll be the making of you and the USA will luv u. BBC don't know what there missin."

Radio dude Matt Deegan [link=http://twitter.com/#!/matt/status/6475862803226624]adds[/link]: "Sirius is about generating subscriber cash through premium well-known content. As excellent as Moyles is, he won't drive subs. A non story."

SIRUIS XM's highest paid presenter Howard Stern, at $500m for 5 years, is also coming to the end of his contract, and an announcement is thought to be imminent.
