Absolute Radio is continuing its trend of providing radio-related apps for the iPhone App Store with the release of Rock ‘N’ Roll Football Live Scores.
The app is free and offers football fans Barclays Premiership scores, fixtures and information, to complement the station's sport output.
We asked station boss Clive Dickens about moving away from the core radio station duties, to which he replied: "Our Rock 'N' Roll 'live scores' free app for iPhone along side our recently launched 'match day centre' online is a continuing part of our strategy to become best in class for mobile, online and digital audio broadcast amongst premier league fans in the UK…"
He continued: "Also having a listen app is not a mobile strategy, we now have games, quizzes, clock radios and much more to come that has helped deliver more than 1.5m app downloads, which we estimate gives us over 20 per cent share of the commercial radio mobile app market."
