Rock Radio in Manchester has replaced breakfast presenter Steve Berry with drivetime host Mike Sweeney, RadioToday.co.uk can exclusively reveal.
Mike started his new show today (Tuesday), whilst Steve has left the station after almost three years to pursue new ventures.
Both Steve and Mike joined the station when it launched in 2008, marking the first peaktime schedule change for the GMG Radio station.
Replacing Mike on drive is Head of Presentation Ricky Kirby, current host of the station’s networked evening show, whilst Moose stays on daytime.
GMG Radio’s North West Managing Director, Andy Carter said: “Mike’s a much loved talent on Rock Radio and he’ll provide a great listen at breakfast. His witty style and unbeatable knowledge of rock music will make him a must listen for Manchester’s rock music lovers at breakfast time.”
Paul Anthony is currently hosting the evening show.
