Classic interview show returns

LBC breakfast presenter Nick Ferrari is to return to the UK's biggest national commercial radio station for a second series of The Classic FM Interview.

The hour-long programme returns on Sunday evenings from later this month, with guests including Richard E Grant, Dame Kelly Holmes and Julian Lloyd Webber lined up to appear.

Each week for the 10-week run, Nick will be joined by a high-profile guest from the world of music, entertainment, literature, film, or politics and the shows will offer an intimate and honest insight in to their lives. Each programme will feature a selection of classical music, with some of the pieces chosen by the guests as they reflect on a particularly poignant or important time in their lives.

Nick told RadioToday.co.uk: "I'm thrilled the series is returning and just hope the audience enjoyed listening to it as much as I enjoyed making it. The show forced its way on to the news agenda with exclusive stories from some of my guests such as Sir Michael Caine talking movingly about his father’s euthanasia and Russell Watson revealing the touching note he was sent by The Pope. I’m raring to go and get started again."

Classic FM's Managing Director Darren Henley added: "We're delighted to make this announcement following the strong set of listening figures we’ve just achieved for the station. The first series garnered some amazing feedback so it’s great to be able to announce the return of The Classic FM Interview. We’re looking forward to this series being another must-listen show for an audience of listeners old and new."
