Former TFM, Magic and Smooth presenter Tom Davies is joining UKRD station Star Radio in Darlington to host the breakfast show.
Tom most recently spent three years on weekday breakfast for Smooth Radio in the North East and has most recently been doing weekend shows and cover at Real Radio.
Tom told RadioToday.co.uk: "I am extremely excited taking up the reigns of the breakfast show in a part of the world I’ve always considered to be home. I cannot wait to join the Star Radio team and begin to meet the Star listeners."
Star Radio’s Programme Controller James Horspool said: "I am delighted Tom will be joining us to take Star Radio’s breakfast show to the next level.
