Totally 90s show goes to air

A new syndicated radio show playing nothing but music from the 1990s is getting ready to launch this weekend.

Totally 90s is presented by former Radio 1, Capital and Atlantic 252 jock Gary King and will be airing on stations in the UK as well as mainland Europe, the Middle East and America.

The show is produced by Blue Revolution and is the sister-show of the multi-award winning Totally 80s.

Gary told RadioToday.co.uk: "The 90s was such an exciting decade and so diverse in terms of music, just like the 80s. And that’s exactly what we’ll be reflecting each weekend on Totally 90s."

Blue Revolution’s Content Director Nick Pitts said: "We’re all very excited about the launch not least because Gary Barlow from Take That is the special guest on our very first show. In coming weeks we’ll also catch up with more big stars from the decade including Shania Twain and Britney Spears."

Kingdom FM is one of the stations taking the new show – their Programme Director Darren Stenhouse said: "I know from experience that many of our most popular songs are from the 90s. That’s why I’m confident Totally 90s will drive our weekday audience in to our weekends and give them a show that they’ll love!"
