Dunne back on air with Gaydio

Former Key 103, Galaxy and Atlantic 252 presenter and programmer David Dunne is going back on air with Manchester community station Gaydio.

Until last year he hosted the Hed Kandi radio show on the Galaxy network – the new show on Gaydio will be called 'Anthems' and go out on Sunday nights.

Back in the early 90s David worked on Key 103 showcasing music from clubs like the Hacienda. He became Head of Music and Morning Presenter at Kiss FM in Manchester and Yorkshire, staying on when they later became Galaxy. David's also had roles as Head of Music for MTV UK, presenter and programme controller at Atlantic 252 and Managing Director of Ministry of Sound Radio.

David told RadioToday.co.uk: "I'm really happy about joining the talented and committed team at Gaydio. It's terrific to be back on live radio in my home town of Manchester and to have the chance to play nothing but big, hands in the air anthems to an audience who truly love and appreciate dance music. Roll on Sunday."

Gaydio Programme Director Toby Whitehouse added: "We're really excited to have a big name like David on board – helping to build on the success of The Anthems show, which attracts a huge following. Dance music is important to the station and sits well alongside more mainstream programming through the day."

David joins an increasingly strong line up of Dance programming across Gaydio – which includes Nik Denton's 'In the Mix', 'The Sessions', 'Fierce Angel', Dan Wood and ex-Hacienda DJ Graeme Park.
