GaydarRadio’s News Editor Scott Roberts will be broadcasting live from Tel Aviv Pride this year.
The visit will coincide with the 2nd anniversary of a shooting at a central Tel Aviv gay and lesbian centre, and the station aims to provide an insight into what life is like for the LGBT community in Israel.
During the broadcast Scott will also be interviewing Israel’s only openly gay MP, Nitzan Horowitz, to cover the issues that the LGBT community in Israel and the Middle East regularly face. They will also examine the reasons behind the recent influx of gay men and lesbians from Palestine, Egypt and Tunisia.
Robin Crowley, head of GaydarRadio, comments: “At GaydarRadio we pride ourselves on bringing our listeners a wide spectrum of relevant content, from the fun and quirky, to hard-hitting issues such as this. It’s an honour for us as a station to visit Tel Aviv at this time and mark the anniversary of the shooting and commemorate the victims.”
