Radio 2 breakfast comes from Evans’ garden

Chris Evans is doing a live broadcast from the bottom of his garden at his home in Berkshire this morning.

It’s to kick off his four-day Drive and Dine Extravaganza in aid of BBC Children in Need.

Last November, seven people donated over a million pounds to the charity in exchange for the ride of their lives in seven magnificent Ferraris. Joining Chris for today’s show, the travellers set off in convoy for a drive through Hampshire and Dorset’s country lanes before arriving at a New Forest hotel.

The event is now in its fifth year. Chris says: “The previous Drive And Dine weekends have been so much fun, and the BBC Radio 2 listeners have been so incredibly generous, that we just had to do it again for Children In Need last year. I can’t wait – it’s going to be spectacular.”
