Former Radio City, Original 106 and Northsound Managing Director Iain McKenna has joined Global Radio to run their Heart Sussex station.
Since leaving the radio industry almost two years ago he’s been running his own Marketing and Business Development Agency called Key 360.
Iain joined Northsound in 2002 as Sales Director before becoming Station MD in September 2004. He then moved to Emap sister station Radio City in February 2006, before returning to Aberdeen to launch Original 106 in 2007.
Based in Brighton, McKenna will report to Hugh Murray, Regional Managing Director of the Meridian region at Global Radio.
Hugh said: “Iain has achieved great things throughout his radio career and delivered outstanding results for the stations he has worked at. We’re looking forward to having him lead the Heart Sussex team.”
Iain told us: “I’m passionate about radio and thrilled to be working with an established and successful brand like Heart. It is a great opportunity to join Global Radio as a company and I am looking forward to joining the very successful team in Sussex.”
