Former BBC Radio 1 controller Andy Parfitt has left the radio industry behind after his recent departure – by joining an ad agency.
He’ll be Saatchi & Saatchi’s executive director of talent, attracting new talent to the company.
He told the Guardian: “Saatchi & Saatchi is the most famous creative agency in the world, making some great work with a range of interesting clients.
“There is a talented and collaborative senior team in place and I’m really looking forward to the start of this new chapter.”
Andy recently left BBC Radio 1 after announcing his departure in July after 13 years at the national station. The position of new Controller has been advertised but no appointment has been made.
