Four radio interviews have been shortlisted for this year’s Nick Clarke Award, which celebrates the best broadcast interview of the year.
Steve Hewlett, Jon Manel and Eddie Mair are all nominated for Radio 4 while Matthew Bannister is shortlisted for a BBC World Service interview.
The award will be handed out at the Cheltenham Literature Festival on Sunday with the winner picking up a dozen bottles of red wine. The honour is named after former Radio 4 World At One presenter Nick Clarke, who died from cancer in 2006.
