Neil Fox signs for 2 more years at Magic

Magic 105.4 breakfast presenter Neil Fox has signed a new 2-year deal to keep him at the Bauer station until at least 2013.

The station held a special private party in London yesterday to celebrate his six years at the station – with an appearance from Magic favourites Lady Antebellum.

Foxy – who turned 50 earlier this year – took over the Magic breakfast show in the capital in September 2005, joining after 18 years at Capital including 11 as the presenter of the networked commercial radio chart show.

The private guest-list event at Chinawhite yesterday saw the country music group from Nashville, who are a favourite of Foxy’s, perform a number of their hits.

He told us: “They say time flies when you’re having fun and I genuinely can’t believe it’s already been 6 years since I started hosting Magic’s Brighter Breakfast. And after 25 years broadcasting I’m loving being on-air more than ever…. so I’m really chuffed to have signed up for the next 2 years to wake up this incredible city (and country) especially as we move towards London 2012. Exciting times ahead and I am definitely Feeling the Magic!”

Pete Simmons, Programming Director for Magic 105.4, added: “A presenter with the music credentials of Neil Fox perfectly fits London’s biggest music radio station and I’m delighted that with all his experience on air he will be presenting breakfast for the foreseeable future on Magic 105.4.”
