Syndicated Xmas show raises charity cash

Radio stations are being offered the chance to broadcast a special programme hosted by Father Christmas in return for a donation to charity.

This year is the fourth time the Christmas Day With Santa show will produced by syndication firm Blue Revolution, raising money for The Make A Wish Foundation UK.

Paul Hollins, Blue Revolution’s CEO told RadioToday.co.uk: “Since its launch in 2008 the show has raised thousands and made it possible for the Make A Wish Foundation to grant magical wishes to over 25 children. This year we hope to raise even more money for this amazing charity.”

The three-hour programme, which is provided to stations along with a full schedule of Christmas music, features the big man himself as well as a number of special guests who’ll drop in on the show.

Blue Revolution, who make the Totally 80s and Totally 90s weekly shows, also have a number of other special programmes available for stations broadcast over the Christmas and New Year period, including an All Time 100 Greatest Movie Songs show hosted by Claire Sturgess and an 8-hour New Year’s Eve party presented by Pat Sharp.
