UKRD to promote local commercial radio

William Rogers, UKRD’s Chief Executive has been invited to address a session at the national conference of The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development in Manchester next month.

He says he’s looking forward to talking about local commercial radio to hundreds of HR professionals, highlighting what an amazing industry it is to work in.

The address, focussing upon running a business with a values based culture and maximising the engagement of staff, is the second session delivered and follows former Tesco boss, Terry Leahy who is giving the keynote address.

“There is no question that commercial radio has suffered a bit over the last few years and has been under promoted as a vibrant and exciting place to work. This is a chance to talk about just how dynamic and engaging a sector commercial radio is,” Williams told RadioToday.co.uk.

He continues: “Since UKRD was recognised as being the Sunday Times number 1 Best Company to Work For 2011, the company’s executives have been attending and speaking at an increasingly wide and varied number of company meetings and organisational events and this is a fantastic opportunity to sell what we do and how we do it to a wider audience.”
