Presenters remember Radio Luxembourg

The Great 208 is to be remembered in a special evening hosted by former Radio Luxembourg presenter Shaun Tilley.

Many presenters from the station’s past, including Pete Murray, Neil Fox, Mike Read, Paul Burnett, Timmy Mallett and Tony Prince will be attending.

Presenters and staff will be sharing their memories as the 20th anniversary of its close-down on 208 approaches. Host Shaun Tilley told RadioToday.co.uk: “I can’t believe it’s 20 years since the last ever programme on The Great 208. Though very sad, it was a huge honour for me to be on air that historic night and I feel equally honoured to be hosting this Radio Academy tribute which will boast a panel that truly reflects some of the huge talent that faded in and out of Luxy over the years”.

The event takes place on 28 November in London at The Gibson Building, 29-35 Rathbone Street, W1T 1NJ, 6pm for 6:30pm start, and is free for members of the Radio Academy. You must register beforehand by clicking here.
