Leona Graham is taking over Absolute Radio’s afternoon show for three months from the New Year.
The appointment comes as Nick Jackson leaves the station’s 1-5pm slot to spend more time with his family and embark on new projects.
A post on the Absolute Radio blog at onegoldensquare.com says: “Leona, an already trusted and well loved voice on the station, is an integral part of the No Repeat Guarantee’s success and after almost 12 years at One Golden Square, we’re really chuffed ‘the first lady of commercial radio,’ is going to be moving to weekdays.”
Leona is the main cover presenter at the station and can also be heard on Absolute’s other digital station, as well as the station imaging.
She’ll take over on the afternoon slot from Monday 9th January 2012.
