New programming role created at Global

Capital FM London’s Deputy Programme Director Gareth Andrews has been promoted to the newly created position of Group Programme Co-ordinator.

The new job will see Gareth assist all Group Programmers and Editors in implementing network programme strategy.

He’ll report directly to Global Radio’s Director of Broadcasting Richard Park. He says: “Gareth’s outstanding track record speaks for itself. His enthusiasm, commitment and vision will be integral to Global Radio as we strengthen our position as the UK’s largest commercial radio group. We wish him every success in his new role.”

Capital FM, owned by Global Radio, is about to celebrate one year of broadcasting as a network of nine local and regional radio stations across the UK, and first launched in London in 1973.
