Nominations are now being taken for the Sony DAB Rising Star Award – handed out to one lucky person at the annual Sony Radio Academy Awards.
The closing date for entries is March 1st 2012.
The award recognises up and coming radio talent and is open to any presenter who has been broadcasting for 18 months or less on UK radio. Entries are handled by Sony’s PR team at Cake and any enquiries should go directly to their team at SonyPR@cakegroup.com.
An expert panel of judges will be appointed to go through the initial raft of entries and draw up a shortlist of five top contenders. These five will be announced at the nominations and will then go forward for a public vote via Sony’s website. The winner (the one who garners the most votes during the voting period) will then be announced and presented at the 2012 Awards Ceremony on 14th May at Grosvenor House.
