The nominations are out for the “How Dos” – the annual north west England media awards.
They include a Radio Station of the Year category in which three of Global Radio’s brands are nominated.
Local radio stations will battle it out with regional brands, whilst sales teams and production companies also keep their fingers crossed.
Bauer, Global Radio, GMG Radio, UTV Media, community radio and BBC are all in the shortlist. The station of the year category is between Real Radio, Juice FM, BBC Radio Cumbria, Capital FM, Heart, Indigo 106.6, Signal and Xfm.
Last year Bauer’s Key 103 was named station of the year, whilst the group’s MD of Radio Dee Ford was presented with the Personality of the Year prize.
Previous winners include GMG Radio’s Smooth (FM as it was) and Bauer’s Lancashire station Rock FM. Relevant categories include “Radio station of the year”, “Media Website”, “Media Agency”, “Media Sales”, and “Independent Production Company”.
