Organisers of this year’s commercial radio IRN News Awards ceremony have announced details of the sessions planned for the annual IRN News Conference beforehand.
Sky News presenter Charlotte Hawkins is hosting the event for the second year running and there are sessions about reporting on breaking news like last summer’s riots, investigative journalism and a look back on the year’s defining stories.
John Pickford, News Editor at Bauer’s Manchester station Key 103 will lead a panel discussing lessons learned from the riots coverage, while the Sky News Investigations team reveals some of its operations to expose the corrupt and the criminal through undercover reporting.
The IRN News Conference on 27 March in central London will be followed by the presentation of this year’s IRN News Awards from 2.30pm. See the full list of nominees here.
