Real Radio Scotland brings £115k to work

Real Radio’s annual Bring a Pound to Work Day last week has collected £115,000 for charity.

The event on Friday turned out to be be the biggest yet, and was in aid of CHAS – Children’s Hospice Association Scotland.

Companies across Central Scotland raised money through pyjama days at work, collections and bring and buy sales, and more. Frankie and Benny’s, the official restaurant partner for Bring a Pound to Work Day raised £50,000 through staff donating their tips and some even their wages to the day, along with donating the costs of kids meals over the weekend to the fundraising pot.

Real Radio said “With the money still rolling in and the Third Annual CHAS Easter Bash coming up in April, the total is set to soar in the coming months.”
