Absolute Radio is inviting listeners into its Golden Square studios next week for an interactive question and answer session with the band Keane.
Breakfast show presenter Christian O’Connell will host the session on Thursday ahead of the release of the group’s new album.
The station is giving away tickets to the event, which will also take questions from fans via Facebook and Twitter. It follows similar sessions with bands like Coldplay and Elbow.
Highlights of the Q&A will be broadcast during next Friday morning’s breakfast show and the full event will be aired at 11pm on 13th May and be available to see online.
Meanwhile, Christian has this week performed another hour-long unscripted late night radio show live in front of an audience in a West End theatre.
It was the second of his ‘Man on Wireless’ shows. Highlights from the Soho Theatre included Christian appointing one audience member as his ‘producer’ for the night, Christian realising that two of the guests
up on stage were actually officers from the Met police on their nights off, audience members running out into the West End to try to bring back foreign tourists to meet Christian live on air (they succeeded!), a show-stopping one word impression of Lulu, and some of the most unique live renditions of the song ‘Footloose’ ever heard on national radio!
