Cambridge 105 attempts on-air marathon

Cambridge’s community radio station Cambridge 105 is to broadcast live for 105 hours over the Jubilee weekend.

Volunteers will go non-stop live from both the studio and an outside broadcast from a local event.

The station tells us there’ll be programmes to suit all tastes featuring live sessions from local musicians as well as shows playing dance, disco, soul, classical, folk, pop, rock and indie music. Eight of the 105 hours will broadcast from the city’s largest free event – Strawberry Fair which takes place on the city’s Midsummer Common.

The marathon broadcast starts on Friday, 1st June at 3pm and concludes on Tuesday, 5th June.
