Jessie J and Quo do Radio 2 day-festival

BBC Radio 2 has announced details of its ‘festival in a day’ in London’s Hyde Park later this year, which will feature Jessie J, Status Quo and Simply Red’s Mick Hucknall.

The Live in Hyde Park event attracted 25,000 people last year, and tickets costing £35 each have just gone on sale for the show on Sunday 9th September this year.

Radio 2 presenters will take to the stage alongside the acts performing, which also include Paloma Faith, Emeli Sande, Average White Band, American country music stars The Band Perry and Norwegian band Katzenjammer.

Jeff Smith, Head of Music at Radio 2 and 6 Music, said: “Music is at the heart of Radio 2’s output, and with more incredible artists to be announced in the coming weeks, there will be something for everyone at this year’s Radio 2 Live in Hyde Park. What better way to end the summer than with a truly British celebration of music.”
