GaydarRadio goes non-stop for jubilee

Digital station GaydarRadio is running an advert-free weekend of non-stop music to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee.

Branded as ‘Club Nation Diamond’, the changed programming starts at 6pm Saturday and runs for 60 hours until 6am on Tuesday 5th June.

The station – which broadcasts on DAB in London and Sussex – has got the special show sponsored by the Bear Pride 2012 jubilee weekend event organised by XXL, a men-only club based on London’s South Bank.

We’re told the Gaydar Radio weekend output will feature mixes from 60 different DJs – including David Guetta, Aviici, Calvin Harris, Yolanda B Cool and Fatboy Slim.

Robin Crowley, programme controller at GaydarRadio, told RadioToday.co.uk: “For a commercial radio station to run 60 hours of solid music omitting traditional spot advertising and any DJ interludes is practically unheard of, but GaydarRadio is different! Yet again, we’re able to offer our listeners something unique which will help them to celebrate the Queen’s 60 year reign.”
