Made in Manchester tracks Path to London

Indie Made in Manchester is to tell the story of some of the GB athletes who have had to adapt to Paralympic sport following life-changing accidents.

The special hour long programme will be broadcast this Sunday on BBC Radio 5live at midday.

In the documentary, host Russell Fuller meets a variety of hopefuls who all have a story to tell about how their lives were turned upside down but turned around. He’ll also chat to former medal winners who are looking to repeat their success.

The Path to London: A Paralympic Journey is produced by Andy Dickman and Ashley Byrne at Made in Manchester for 5live, and the Executive Producer is Phil Collinge.

Made in Manchester has produced a number of programmes for 5live including the recent The Day I Met The Queen which was made for the network’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations. The documentary included interviews with David Cameron, Nick Clegg, Sir Geoff Hirst, Virginia Wade, Ben Fogle, William Roache and the relatives of victims of the 911 atrocity and Aberfan disaster.
