Blues Brother Dan Aykroyd has joined Jazz FM to host a weekly Blues show.
The Blues Mobile with Elwood Blues is sponsored by Virgin Holidays, part of a deal negotiated by Manning Gottlieb OMD, and broadcast each Sunday 2-4pm.
The weekly blues bible takes audiences through the history of the blues through to the present day, with the latest in blues news with albums from established artists and the upcoming blues stars of tomorrow.
Each week Elwood Blues will invite a guest onto the show and Jazz FM’s Mike Vitti will take people on a musical tour round the states with programme partners Virgin Holidays, from the mid west to the deep south and everywhere in between.
The show will be supported online with competitions to win all-inclusive trips to a range of US blues-inspired destinations including Chicago, New Orleans and Las Vegas. Upcoming guests include Ruthie Foster this year’s winner of the Blues Music Award trophy for Best Female Traditional Blues Singer, and many more.
