A team including ex-Choice managing director Ivor Etienne are to launch a new Church radio station in London.
Ruach Radio will commence broadcasting in September from Bishop John Francis’ Ruach City Church, offering Christian-centred music and talk radio 24 hours a day.
The station will only be available online but will provide a live studio link to services and events happening in all three locations; including north London’s Kilburn and east London’s Walthamstow. Ruach Radio will offer varied Christian-centred speech and music programming which will be comprised of live, international and pre-recorded shows. The Brixton studio will also become a hub for Christian Media training, offering employment, Internships and Apprenticeships in Radio.
The launch of Ruach Radio has been planned to coincide with a visit to Ruach City Church Kilburn by New York Times bestselling author, preacher and singer Dr. Juanita Bynum from 19th -21st September for the Threshing Floor Revival; where over 2,000 are expected to attend. Bishop John Francis says: “We at Ruach City Church are very excited about the launch of Ruach Radio. It has always been our desire to promote the Gospel through the medium of Radio. This is a wonderful opportunity to reach the unreachable with the good news of Jesus Christ. Ruach Radio is the realisation of a long-awaited vision and we can’t wait to get started! We want everyone to connect with us on Twitter or email so we can keep you posted on the launch.”
