The Sound Women group are planning a networking event at Media City, with presenters from 5 live and Real Radio as special guests.
Peter Salmon, Director of BBC North, will be at the event, along with “movers, shakers and Sound Women from across the Radio industry”. One half of Real Radio’s all-female breakfast show Sam Walker and BBC Radio 5 live’s Shelagh Fogarty will be the guest speakers.
The group says “It’s a rare opportunity for those in commercial radio, community radio, the BBC and the independent sector to get together, talk radio and share their own networking tips. And we’ll be running another of our successful ‘How To Network’ workshops beforehand to get you in the mood.”
There’s no charge for the networking event but tickets for the training workshop are priced at £10. Details at soundwomen.co.uk
