Bauer Radio launches Christmas fundraiser

Cliff Richard, Dame Helen Mirren and Ant & Dec are just some of the celebs helping Bauer Radio raise money for Children this Christmas.

Mission Christmas is a nation-wide fundraiser in aid of local children and young people who are suffering from neglect and those in poverty.

The campaign is an initiative delivered by Bauer Radio’s ‘Cash For Kids’, a network of local charities operating across 21 areas around the UK. The Mission Christmas appeal will feature across a selection of Bauer Radio stations including Magic 105.4, Key 103 and Metro Radio and each station will be at the heart of local fundraising activities.

Last Christmas, Cash for Kids charities distributed over £5.1 million in cash, toys and gifts, and this year the campaign is aiming to exceed that grand total during the festive period. A video featuring celebrity support for the appeal includes Sir Cliff Richard, Dame Helen Mirren, Lorraine Kelly, Carol Smillie and Ian Rankin, which has been made possible by Scottish Rotarians.

Dee Ford, Group Managing Director Radio, Bauer Media: “We are extremely proud of our ‘Cash For Kids’ charities who are on track to deliver £10.3 Million this year and we hope to break our previous years’ fundraising record with Mission Christmas 2012.

All of our 21 market leading radio stations in the UK are actively involved with their communities to inspire as many people as possible to donate to such a worthy cause.”
