Former Kiss 101 DJ expands show to Bristol

Bristol online station Southsound Radio is to broadcast former Kiss 101 DJ Ant Nichols’ two hour Saturday night dance show.

The Decadance show is already broadcast on community station Gaydio in Manchester but will air on Southsound Radio from Saturday 1st December.

Ant Nichols, Director of Events at Decadance explains: “Decadance held its first ever party back in 2007 on Corn Street in Bristol on a cold and wet Sunday night; we had around 200 people turn up, on a night which statically is always a bit hit and miss. Five years on and we have held parties in a total of 6 cities and hosted dance tents at various outdoor events, and we are constantly getting interest from people who want to have our parties in their city, as well as people who want to come and be part of the team.”

Roger Noble, Programme Director for Southsound said: “It’s great news for Southsound that we have sealed a deal with a club brand like Decadance which originally started in Bristol and who will bring a new fresh upfront sound to our already strong line up. Couple that with raising £1500 for Teenage Cancer Trust recently with its big radio show earlier this year, and once again we are achieving some great results with the team here at Southsound Radio, and to have someone like Ant, and the Decadance brand involved in the radio station, shows we will keep going from strength to strength.”

The show will also be available online for 48 hours after the show is broadcast.
