BBC Radio 1 breakfast host Nick Grimshaw will host the 2013 BRIT Awards nominations ceremony taking place in January.
The nominations party will take place at the Savoy Hotel in central London on January 10th where Nick will be announcing the shortlisted artists for the categories including Best Female Singer, Album of the Year and Best newcomer, in addition to the Critics Choice nominees.
The actual event will continue to be hosted by James Corden, taking place at London’s O2 Arena on February 20th and live on ITV1.
It was at last year’s BRITs that boy band One Direction thanked BBC Radio 1 when collecting their Best British Single award – as voted for by listeners of Capital FM.
Capital then stopped playing music by the band – a situation which lasted quite a few months.
