X Factor star Amelia Lily has performed an intimate gig in front of 30 competition winners from across the North East at Metro Radio.
She sang her debut single, which reached number two in the charts last year, You Bring Me Joy, and current single ‘Shut Up And Give Me Whatever You Got’ at Metro’s studio in Newcastle.
Amelia said: “I love being back home in the North East and there is nothing better than a northern cup of tea!”
Steve Furnell, from Metro Radio’s Steve and Karen Breakfast Show said: “It was great to hear Amelia was so happy to be back home in the North East.” “She told us she only gets chance to visit every four months and loves spending time with family when she’s home.”
Emma Cox, aged 16, from Washington was one of the competition winners. She said: “I felt like a VIP for the morning; I was sitting less than three feet away from Amelia while she performed to such a small audience, it was very special.”
