The Hits has offered support to an 18 year old One Direction and Olly Murs fan as she aims to complete a list of activities before she dies.
James Everton from The Hits Radio’s Takeover UK heard about her list and decided to see if the station could help out.
Hannah Booth, who’s 18 and from Manchester, has a rare form of bone cancer called osteosarcoma, which has spread to her shoulder, spine and lungs.
She created a Bucket List of things she wants to do before she dies, and the station has helped with some of the list including a trip to Rome to eat pizza with Jet2.com, a meet and great with Olly Murs and a visit to Amsterdam.
Presenter James Everton said: “It’s hard to imagine what Hannah’s had to go through over the last few years – she’s been so brave about it – and when we heard she wanted some help completing her Bucket List, we just had to see what we could do. We’ve had an amazing response from our listeners and the guys at Jet2.com.”
Hannah added – “Not many people know that young people can get cancer, and so I want to raise awareness of cancer in young people. It’s amazing what The Hits Radio has sorted for me, it’s so kind.”
Steve Heapy, Chief Executive of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “We are only too happy to help Hannah fulfil two of her ‘bucket list’ wishes, by providing city breaks to Rome and Amsterdam. She is a very brave young woman and we hope both her and her family have two very memorable and enjoyable trips.”
