Real and Smooth Radio has been recognised as one of the best radio group’s in the world at the Worldwide Radio Summit Awards.
The Hold-Separate company, previously known as GMG Radio before its takeover by Global Radio, is among five shortlisted in the International Radio Group category of the third annual WWRS Awards.
Winners will be announced in a ceremony during the 2013 radio summit taking place in Hollywood from 2nd-4th May.
BBC Radio is the only other radio group shortlisted from the UK alongside Real and Smooth. Canadian Astral Media Group and Newcap and Australia’s Austereo are also finalists in the category.
Real and Smooth Limited’s Group Programme Director John Simons said: “It’s fantastic for our group to be recognised as among the best in the world. The Real and Smooth teams are among the best in the business and thoroughly deserving of this recognition. We look forward to hearing the results in May.”
Voting, which takes place across the world by members of the industry, is now underway.
